Would be good if you could give me bigger sized photos of the car. You can upload them to imgur.com

Also wheel make and model would be better for the wheels as I could find a photo of those wheels on another car online and slap them on :)

This site has an alloy wheel selector web app.
You pick your exact car plus the alloys and if you want the car lowered or not, and it'll generate a photo for you.

    https://www.beaurepaires.com.au/wheels

Eg. I'd a little play around with the app, and it generated this pic for me

Heres bigger pics of my car i think http://imgur.com/a/vibTP

And alloys are all oem VW alloys

    1. VW 18" Charleston (MK6 golf GTD alloys)

    2. VW 18" Nogaro (MK7 golf GTD alloys)

    3. VW 18" Santiago (MK7 golf GTI alloys)

    Is that ok now? :)

Rough representation of what they might look like:

There may be more/less tyre gap due to the overall circumference of the rim and tyre being different but it shows you roughly what it might look like :)

Fair play in doing that so well. I'm getting a bit of training on photoshop these days and it's like double dutch to me, can just about manage the basics!

The alloys in picture number 1 go best I think.

Could I get in on this? I was wondering what my car would look like with darker wheels.

The same wheels but dark or are you looking into getting ST/RS500 alloys?

I recently bought some wheels for my MX-5 from www.felgenoutlet.com.

If you enter your car details you can see a 3D mock-up of it with any wheel they sell, that you can rotate. There's a button to change the colour of the car, and even one to simulate lowering it.

    Same wheels, just darker.

Came across this. Very similar wheels. Kinda liking the black. Worried it might look like steel wheels!

    man, i wouldn't.

the car looks great as it is.

if you paint the wheels black the whole car will look cheap and tacky, 100% guarenteed.

not trying to be harsh but you clearly keep the car well, so no point in ruining it.

i've been trying in vain to try and get some images of black wheels in the real world, black in notoriously difficult to keep clean and your wheels are actively being dirtied by the brakes and the road surface so unless you plan on washing them every day, it's a bad move.

Sorry, I forgot to come back to you with the image.

I was unable to find a good quality image of the black wheels to put on your image and then I completely forgot to come back here.

Not sure if I like the black myself. It works on some cars but you need some contrast between the wheels and the body of the car. Gun metal grey maybe?

Yeah, you're probably right. Going to see if I can find some of that anthracite stuff instead. At least it comes off if it looks ****e. :D
