Skoda Superb - High miles?

Looking at getting a Skoda Superb, 2010-12 and they're all fairly high mileage.. I would guess most may be UK imports due to the specs. And I'm looking for the a higher spec one anyway..

Is 120-130k miles high mileage for these? My last decent car was an 08 Mondeo that I sold with 125k miles on it and it drove like new, my citroen berlingo van has 120k miles on it and is still going strong.. So I'm just wondering what is considered high mileage. My budget is around 15k and I'm looking for an auto diesel.

Just check and verify the service history, they are popular as taxis/mini cabs both here and in the UK.

Its nothing to them I would rather slightly higher then one with only low short journey mileage as they would tend to give more trouble.

Give a good going over by trusted mechanic and all the right checks.

My dad had a 2009 1.9TDi for three and a half years. He clocked up about 130k miles in that time and bar an Air-Con hose being loose upon delivery of the car absolutely nothing went wrong.

Are you looking just at the cheapest examples?

Not saying it's impossible, but you'll have to sift through a good few rubbish ones to get to the right one (if it's out there for the money)
Top spec auto for less than a lot of base model ones is a tall order.

I may go for a manual if the right car comes up.. I've only seen once decent one in the past three weeks come up and that sold after a few days. I'm not in any rush.

Also open to any other suggestions anyone may have.. Has to be a hatchback/estate. Big boot is required as I'll be using the car for work most of the time.

Had a mondeo estate before, brought in a titanium X estate from the UK.. lovely car. Can't seem to find any here. Would need to be an estate, I carry quite a bit around with me for work, octavia estate would be the smallest I could go for.
