I need a payment receipt

    Good afternoon,

    I have paid my Irish Water bill in full online and I now require a receipt of payment to give to a third party. Can you please assist me with this?

    I see the following in your FAQ, but I'm unclear as to how an invoice acts a receipt. Furthermore, my Irish Water account is now closed because I have left that address and the Irish Water account at my new address in someone else's name. So, there won't be a "next bill." Also, I know I can view my payment history online, but what I require is proof of payment to hand over to a third party.


    "4. Will customers receive a receipt

    No the invoice will act as the receipt. Payments will be visible on your next bill. Alternatively you can view payment history and any outstanding balance online by signing up for online account management here."

    Any change of getting a response? I only ask because I notice that your response time is 3 hours yet it's now been almost 48 hours.

    We do not provide receipt of payment to customers. Payments are visible on customers' next bills, and payment history can also be viewed by signing up to Online Account Management here.

    We can certainly check your account to confirm if there are any outstanding balances owed if you wish? To do this, we would ask that you send the following details via PM:

    Your name;
    Address;
    Contact Number;
    Account Number and;
    Confirmation that you are the account holder.

    We can forward you a final bill which will outline the dates of occupancy at your previous residence. This will also highlight if there is any outstanding balance on your account for the period of time you resided in that property.

    In order for us to look into your account and issue you with your final bill, we would need the following information via PM:

    - Name;
    - Your previous address;
    - Contact number;
    - Account number and;
    - Confirmation that you are the account holder.
