    Anyone know if there is any truth in rumours of mcguirks opening in Waterford in old Mitchell's store.

    They announced it on their facebook page a few weeks back and it is also listed on their website that they are going into the same unit that mitchells was in

    Agreed happened very quickly. Just out of interest, how would you know there were 'plenty' caught with vouchers?

    Sorry just a small sample size from our society. Just didn't hear about it in time, these things happen.

    Ah no worries, just thought it didn't sound right. I know the owner as a right gentleman and I'm pretty sure he wasn't set on leaving people stuck on their vouchers.

    Yeah to be fair they were nice to deal with, always knock off a few euro and not give the big sales pitch. I dont know the details but heard it was just a couple of days closing down. Pity to see. I guess the positive side is mcguirks are coming though, nothing like that in the southeast since Mitchells. Seem to do offers and deals in store from reading the various threads, and do custom fitting too which will be good.
