Hi, I'm not entirely sure what forum this should be in, so mods, feel free to move if necessary.

I booked a hotel for a weekend (2 nights) in the UK through hotels.com
At the hotel, my partner used his visa card to pay for the stay.
Receptionist stated we'd already paid for 1 night so just charged 1 night (+10% 'charge' as we didn't have the original card used to make the booking) to his card.

Upon arrival back to Ireland, I was charged the full amount for the 2 nights, and he was also charged for 1 night.

I have since emailed the hotel at least 2 times to enquire about a refund.
I also contacted hotels.com who, after a lot of 'unresponsiveness' said that because it's the hotel that overcharged me, I need to contact them directly.
So I did. Receptionist said I'd need to provide bank statements to prove I was overcharged, so I submitted them and emailed them to her within 30 minutes of our phone call. I have since emailed again to enquire as I've heard nothing.

    What do I do now???

Contact the Trading Standards Department in the local authority area where the hotel is based.

Contact them once more and this time mention the magic words "credit card chargeback". If they still drag their feet then contact your credit card issuer and get the charge reversed. Here is an example of the chargeback form you will need to fill out.
