Hi guys, I have an 8 year old sky box with the old cable connections are am after getting a new sky box installed in the kitchen with new cable and connections.
I want to bring the new box into the sitting room where the old connections are, and I want to know if I can get any kind of adapter for the old connections or is there any other way around me not having to re-wire the sitting room with a new cable and the kitchen with an old one?

    Thanks in advance guys.

The connections on the cables from the dish won't be any different now than 8 years ago.

Are you talking about the cables connected to the aerial-in, or RF1 & RF2 connections, which are for feeding signal out to other TVs? If you want to re-establish the RF feed with the new box, you'll need an add-on, the IO link.

Yeah the connections to aerial-in. I tried to connect but it doesn't fit.

i/o Link required as Thurston posted above.

Various types available, see here. Have a look at the product video on each item page for a description of how they work.

So there were extra rooms being fed from the RF2 output of the old box, maybe with 'magic eyes' for remote control from the other rooms?

Maybe it was only the kitchen being fed this way, so it isn't needed anymore, assuming subscription channels are available on both Sky boxes?
