Anyone got any opinion on these. I'm looking into options to put some savings into and was considering this product. Iv'e looked into them and done a few calculations with figures and I'm not sure they're all that they're cracked up to be. The return is supposed to be 4.3% after fees but by my reconing it's more like 1.88%…

Iv'e looked into them and done a few calculations with figures and I'm not sure they're all that they're cracked up to be.

The return is supposed to be 4.3% after fees but by my reconing it's more like 1.88% after tax which is only marginally better than state savings witch are DIRT free. Also with the entry tax of 1% of capital the effective DIRT is a bit higher than 41%.

Bottom line is im not sure a non capital guaranteed investment is worth it for that kind of return.

Any thoughts?
