Have a few wethers at the 50kg mark. Was thinking of holding them for a few months until prices pickup. Is this a mad idea? Was thinking about putting them in a bare field. Would they lose weight?

If it was me I'd let them go

I'd say it would be risky to try and keep them at 50

I'd say they'd loose flesh more than weight but I'd send them away now

For the sake of a few auld euro let them on. Cost you more in the long run feeding ration and eating grass. One might kneel over or something.
