Got a text the other day from bord gais saying our plan is changing, went to bonkers.ie and entered info (how many units, night rate etc) and saw could save 1,300 a year going with energia, sse airtricity next and bord gais was way down the list.

But looking at the companies websites they also have a section for business, do any of ye have the business type plans. From what i can see bonkers.ie only compares home rate tariffs.

think the business rate is higher, I changed to airtricity a few months ago, think its 20% discount, electric ireland would only give 8%, so far so good

ESB decides if your commercial or not depending on your usage-you don't want to be commercial as the rates are higher.
Some dairy farmers should look at the day and night metre can be serious savings there

Changed to Panda Power a few weeks ago after being with SSE Airtricity and had got my 13% discount rolled over for a second year . I rang sSE Airtricity last June when the second year of my agreement had run out and they were to call me back . I gave them a second chance to call me back and told them if I was not contacted I would be changing . They did not call me back so I went to Bonkers and they had the best deal .
