Hi guys, I have a hard painless lump on the back right of my top teeth. I've been a regular to the dentist (braces, extractions, fillings) and the hygienist said I've extremely good dental hygiene. Now usually I wouldn't be too concerned but the lump is there the past week. Anyone have any ideas what it might be? It's in between two teeth and one has a heavy filling if that matters.

is it on your gum OP.
I had a lump on my gum before. It was in a place beside a tooth that I eventually needed root canal on.

The dentist had a good look at it, he thought it might be a "gum boil", never heard of this before.

It wasn't necessarily painful to touch but was a worry. It subsided after the root canal. Afair it was the 'bad' tooth pushing out the gum.

Yes on my gum between two teeth. I think it could be a abscess although I'm hoping it's not!! I've booked myself into the dentist for two weeks so I'll know by then.
