    Hi

Does anyone have a recommendation for kitchen/cabinet makers? We have an alcove in our kitchen-diner which is about 8ft wide but only has a depth of about 17 inches so any larders or storage units I've seen are too deep. It's a space we want to use for storage so I think we'll have to look for a bespoke unit, I'd appreciate any suggestions people may have :)

That offers masses of space for storage; although as you say, at 17 inches it is too shallow for standard larder units, 400mm deep drawers will easily fit in that space. With the width you have you could combine a number of cabinets if you wanted. Something like this http://m.blum.com/ie/en/03/22/10/10/ would work just using a shorter than standard runner length. I can't recommend a particular cabinet maker to do it but Blum products are pretty standard in the kitchen / cabinet industry.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks for the suggestion. Having done some more research we may go with a dresser as opposed to a larder, they don't seem to be as deep and I think I prefer the idea of a standalone piece that we could move (or sell) in a few years.
