Just make sure you get the spelling right: it's penneys not pennys

Don't sweat it too much, they hire a lot of internationals, saying that as in many people starting there wouldn't have much experience or any at all in retail etc-i know one who works there, the wages are great compared to many places, decent hours. If you land job there you might find more people as well like you,if its for Christmas season,so wont be lost.

as for interview stick to your cv,things like ,like working with others, helping, punctual, tidy etc.Mention that you are flexible-weekends odd days/covering if need to.And if more serious questions where do you see yourself etc, just say that youd like to be part of the penneys even after period is over  ,also saying stuff that you like their stuff shopping there if asked why you want to work for them.

I worked there for three years! They are big on punctuality and reliability - if you emphasise your flexibility and willingness to do whatever hours needed that's a good sign. A lot of people I worked with took the piss and called in sick all the time once probabtion was passed, so when it came down to interviewing me they asked a lot about how reliable or flexible I could be. You also need to be good at dealing with arsehole customers and their demands (listen, apologise, solve and thank them) oh and it helps if you love fashion and can work quickly under pressure.

It is a competency based interview so have examples of when you previously worked with others, overcame a challenge etc. Good luck!

I'm not an international :p Would the wages like 9.50 an hour ? It's only for Christmas, which is great, so hopefully go permanent after.

Could you state college projects as working with a team ? I'm always punctual (I think since my first year of secondary school to present (second year of college) I have missed at most 9/10 days. I have never been late for school or college.

I'm very punctual. I have never been late for school or college. I'm flexible to an extent, as i'm in college and i will not miss any classes in college to go to work. But i will work Weekends, evenings and i'm not in college on Wednesday.

Would working in a team on a college project be a decent example of teamwork. Also for challenge not been able to write some code in a project and overcoming this through trial and error
