On demand fails

I am in the middle of untold hassle with Sky/Sierra with on demand fail error code 10. Google leads me to a lot of these and being hard drive issues

Had one of their tech out today, twenty minutes, look at box, try out stuff, put new connections on, put in a reconditioned box in, same error and off he went.
I have tried everything on the old and newish box, still random fails, record eleven, two don’t fail

One of the sky reps was a snotty so and so and basically said I shouldn’t be changing settings, it might be UPC security settings and ring them, told me she knows the reconditioned boxes have no issues etc

Anyone with any information that can help before Serra come out and try and fob me off. Ive had four calls with sky and am waiting on a "manager" from Sierra to call in 24/48 hours

How is the box connected to your ISP, WiFi or Ethernet?

If it is WiFi then connect it directly to your router.

TBH it is unlikely to be a faulty box if you have had the same exact problem with 2 of them, do you have a family member or friend who you could swap your box onto their connections to check it with?

It's connected via a home plug, have it like that months with no issues. Their on demand connector has the same error code

I'd agree if I had a new box installed, which I think they should have tried after reconditioned got the same error

Unfortunately no family members with sky and the other sky box we have is the old white box, which I don't think supports on demand.

Set a staic Ip and google dns and one of about thirty has failed (trying different station and seem to be tv3 or 4hd with issues)

As for Sierra, the usual fob you off
Rang this morning, he’s in meeting till two
Half two ish oh someone’s coming out tomorrow 10-12, but I’ll get him to ring you
    Still waiting
