Temporary licence stations

From tomorrow (Thursday) college station Juice FM from CSN college in Cork returns over a series of Thursdays, and then from January a series of Tuesdays and Thursdays on 88.7 FM:

    2015: October 15th, 22nd; November 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th; December 3rd, 10th 2016: January 7th, 12th, 14th, 19th, 21st, 26th, 28th; February 2nd, 4th, 9th, 11th, 23rd, 25th; March 1st, 3rd, 8th, 10th, 15th; April 5th, 7th, 12th, 14th

One has to pose the question should they be put on the same frequency as another temporary station in Cork City - Cork City Community Radio as the latter is only on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) on 100.5 whilst Juice is only on Thursdays and some Tuesdays over the same timeframe on 88.7 ?
Both stations (with no common days of broadcasting) sharing the one frequency would seem a preferrable arrangement for a number of reasons including hearing both stations on one preset (on radios with presets).

Also worth mentioning 8-Radio is due to return to FM this weekend on a weekend basis: this weekend on Saturdays and Sunday, but then from the following the weekend Friday is added to Saturday and Sunday :

Saturday 17th October, Sunday 18th October and every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from Friday 23rd October 2015 to Sunday 22nd November 2015
    94.3 - Dublin,
    106.7 Cork ,
    105.5 Limerick,
    89.5 MHz Galway

Not good enough for Waterford eh?

We're delighted to have 8Radio.com back on FM for the next 6 weekends in 4 cities and particularly with adding Fridays too. We're going to try a revolutionary new concept of having two smart musically knowledgeable women present our Friday breakfast show and a few other treats too mainly involving finding a whole pile of good tunes and playing them in some sort of sequence :)

Great to be in the 4 cities - yep we would like it to be more (including Waterford!) but cost dictates how much we can do at any given time. Not a cheap venture to put it all together - all sponsors are most welcome!

Sorry to go off topic Simon but did you receive much response to the Channel 292 relays?

    That's no problem Fuzzy Clam,

We got a reasonable response to the Channel 292 relays. We tried some early morning, mid-afternoon and later evening stuff with varying success. What made us stop (for now at least) the short-wave stuff was that the majority of reception reports we were getting in were listening via remote receivers online, specifically via the University in Twente in the Netherlands!

Possibly because people or bodies in Sligo haven't set up a temp station. There's no geographical restrictions on applying to the BAI so on paper anybody could do it.
