Normally terminated on an NTU faceplate, I believe on terminals L1/L2. From there a rj11/rj45 to modem/router.

So the four wires in the black wire from eircom are black white green and red. I used the green and the red and connected it to the efibre modem. It works.

Is that all I have to do?
    Do I need filter?

Unless you demolished your house or something, you cant have VDSL without eircom fitting an NTU. So if theres no NTU theres quite a good chance what you currently have is ADSL2+(up to 24Mb).

You need a filter if any phones are going on the line.

We had an ntu and did up the house. Couldn't find it after renovations and just used the black eircom wire as above

You need an ntu, ask someone in an Eircom or KN van
