Mouldy taste from tap water?!

    Hi there,

Anyone ever get a mouldy taste from their tap water? I live in an apartment in the city centre and the (cold) tap water isn't that cold, it's more tepid.. secondly there is an earthy/mouldy taste from it. Even when using a Brita filter, it removes most of that taste but not fully..

Anyone else have the same problem or know why? Is it safe to drink?

    Thanks in advance :)

Reports of Kerosene in the water today, not sure what areas of Galway are effected.

There must be a tank in the area that's leaking. And you would think it's a big leak to cause that issue so you'd expect the residents to notice the issue.

I know, they obviously didn't find the source of the leak the last time. Like you said it has to be a big leak especially when it was reported because one of the residents could smell it from the water. It's very frustrating but we haven't been told this time to shower in the Kingfisher gym across the road so it must be ok to shower with.

There are commercial businesses in the area. It's likely to be one of them and they just haven't noticed.
