Flusher unit - anyone know what these settings are?

    Hey,

We have a push flush toilet that after flushing is constantly running into the pan. Pressing the button again seals it and it refills normally.

Previously I tried turning down the water pressure going into the cistern at various degrees, but it makes no difference. I took out the flusher unit yesterday, gave it a bit of a clean and can see what’s happening. The leaver lifts up the cylinder in the middle and the seal. When there is no water around it, i.e. the cistern is empty, this mechanism works and the cylinder / seal drop back after being lifted. When the cistern is full and the water begins to flush, the cylinder stays stuck up, causing the water to keep running into the bowl.

I noticed two adjustments on the flusher, see attached. One has 18 adjustments (is currently on 11) and apart from moving something inside, I can’t figure out what it’s changing.

The second is a grey adjuster that had 5 settings, and is currently set to 4.

Can anyone tell me what these are and if changing them might help fix my issue?

    Thanks

Thanks for the reply corkgsxr - the unit is relatively new (installed around July), not sure if it's worn but the plumber did mention that they are finicky

Yeah push flushes are a pain in the rear for going like that.
