solar panels angle

    i've being researching what is the best angle for a solar panels to be positioned to maximize output for Winter only, but can't find the info...anyone on here have an idea...

    of course not.....i'm designing a prototype and want to attach a solar panel to it, the solar panel should easily run the motor in the Summer, Spring and Autumn months regardless of the angle but it will be less productive in the Winter therefore i want to maximize the Winter production by optimizing the angle. the other option is to get a bigger panel but it may look to big on the prototype as well as adding to production costs

    Optimum is about 65 degrees off horizontal for winter. You will often see road signs and other off-grid systems where this is applied. See chart from PvSyst
