Hi, just wondering after today's announcement of 50c increase on minimum wage to €9.15 if anyone can help me. I currently earn 9.14 and I am wondering if anyone knows what my pay would be in January, am I entitled to the 50c increase too or would my hourly rate just go to €9.15?

    Thanks!

It's up to your employer but your rate of pay must be at least €9.15. Hopefully your employer gives you a bit more of a bump but if not enjoy your 1c pay rise and don't spend it all in the one shop.

Does the company have many people on minimum wage right now? If they do their payroll is already going to jump up quite a lot due to the change so they are unlikely to give out any other pay rises other than bringing people up to the minimum.

Thanks Guys, not too sure about how many are on minimum wage there's five other members of staff. Only started about a month ago tho and negotiated to 9.14 so I"ll take my 1c and then see if I can renegotiate any more!
