I know nothing about the industry, so this is just some randomer's thoughts!!

    Two distinct points:

I imagine that when voice work is required, studios and production companies look to actual actors.

Seems to be a handful of very successful animation companies/studios in Ireland. Maybe send a portfolio of your work to all of them?

    Good luck anyway!

    Be fluent in Irish. Seriously.

There are animation companies in Ireland that are producing original content, but they do not necessarily use Irish voice actors. Brown Bag, for example, make their stuff primarily for US/UK audiences so do their voice recording overseas and use very few Irish actors, and when they do they typically use established actors.

By far the biggest area for voice actors to get work is in dubbing existing cartoons into Irish for TG4. There are a number of companies in different areas of the country that do this and they'll usually be prepared to hire less experienced actors. It's a great way to get experience and build a showreel. But you will need to have a good standard of Irish.
