Moto E 2nd Gen Charging rate

My new Moto E comes only with a USB cable. What is the optimum charge rate for this phone? My laptop outputs 100mA and takes ages. Found a A/C USB charger & wonder is its rated output is more suitable? Won't chance using it till I get more info!
