Any ideas for what plants would flower near a wall that does not see sunlight?

    You could try cyclamen

Mary, see the answers to the question about pot plants in shade. Cyclamen, as well as any other plants that naturally grow in woodland will flower in shade. There tends to be a rain shadow against walls, and often very poor soil because of rubble and foundations to the wall, so you need to plant a little bit out from the wall if you can, and check there is decent soil there.

I have a north facing balcony and have had sweet peas and fuschias flowering regularly during since April/May and still have a few flowers.
