The US dentist who sparked an international outcry after killing a lion in Zimbabwe will not be prosecuted because he had obtained the legal authority to hunt, officials say.

Zimbabwe's Environment Minister Oppah Muchinguri said he could not be charged as all his "papers were in order".

If you recall, there was some debate as to whether or not the hunter was culpable. It would seem that the Zimbabwean officials have come to their conclusion on the matter. He won't be issued another hunting permit should he return to Zimbabwe, however.

Was it a bribe, or were they issuing permits they should not have been for the extra money? Do you have evidence of the former?

obviously not a happy person that he needs to do that to an animal to prove something

Besides, the man has been found guilty by www. That's the real conviction nowadays.

It doesn't occur to you that they issued the permit for the money and he was oblivious to whether it was above board or not? In fact, according to reports it actually may well have been above board, which is why they're reviewing the whole process.

Clearly natural selection is flawed.
