    Lender: Permanent TSB
    Balance outstanding: €21,740
    Term: 4 yrs 4 mths
    Rate: 4.5%

    Income source: Illness Benefit

I'm posting this on behalf of a friend. They've been invited to transfer to PTSB's MVR of 3.7% but Ulster Bank seem to offering the best rate of 3.3% fixed for 3 years.

Their only income is Illness Benefit from the DSP.

Would the UB fixed rate be the their best option and would UB accept Illness benefit for income multiples purposes? They have a life policy in place.

EDIT: It appears UB wouldn't be an option due to the minimum being €40k for the legal fee package. What would be their best option?

    Thanks in advance
