Query relating to "Intent to marry" appointment

Just wondering, when you are registering your intent to marry do you need to do so in the county you are getting married in?

We are having a Humanist Ceremony in Kildare, so do we need to go to the registry office in Kildare or can we go anywhere to register our intent to marry?

    Many thanks :)

    Update.

I rang them on my lunch break, you can go in to any registry office to do this, doesnt have to be the county you are marrying in which is good.
