    hi GUys

I have plasterboard , then 50 mm insulation and then block in my house. Wondering what the best way to hang a heavy mirror and curtain poles with ? I have used plasterboard fixings before for lighter stuff and its all fine of course but are there any ones that can hold the heavier stuff or should i drill into the block ?

I have read that there should be a wooden stud around the window - how can i tell if that is there or not ?

And if i do have to drill into the wall, can i get 4mm x 100mm as most of the longer screws i have seen are much wider than the holes in curtain poles

    Thanks

Go to Woodies and get a pack of their "Molly" 50kg plasterboard fixings. They'll do the job nicely and you won't need to worry about finding the wooden studs.
