just going to fit new clutch and pressure plate to 399 no loader fitted , should it be replaced with bronze clutch or normal disc, some mechanics cant agree on issue, saying bronze can score flywheel while still usable but i think both can , there is a price difference but apart from that is there a difference

If you use tractor for jobs that are hard on clutch, like loader work or bailing (or any machine where you are likely to pull off with engine above 1600rpm) get heavy duty clutch, if not don't. Before you worry about it scoring fly wheel have you inspected it yet. As you may need to get it skimmed or replaced any way.

I have put a genuine 300 series heavy duty clutch into both our 698T and 390T several years ago and don't regret it. I did also put a spurious standard duty clutch into a 365 which we use use around the yard and regretted it nearly instantly.

General rule of thumb is if your a rough operator get the heavy duty one.

Do rough operators realise that they are rough operators?

Rough operators are the same as bad carpenters, they blame their tools.

checked with main dealer and the other supplier and both supply luc or some make like that , its whether to use heavy or standard clutch im wondering about, i do a good bit of pulling uphill with slurry tank and trailer work, considered fitting a loader but it might be handier on 2nd tractor rather than on 399 for stacking and feeding silage bales
