I'm looking for an oldish diesel lhd car, for tiny money.

Looking to take it in a European banger rally

    D.deal not showing much promise.

Any ideas on where I should be looking?

It'll have to be on irish plates, otherwise I won't'd able to drive it thru the uk without tax/mot

Maybe not that tiny money, but it's oldish and diesel, and lhd.

Also advantage is that car is tested and insured (open drive) and insurance transfers to buyer, so you wouldn't need to worry about insurance and have fully legal car to drive anywhere outside Ireland (assuming you are Irish resident so can't drive foreign car here in Ireland).

That's the kind of car I would look for too.

LHD cars sold by foreigners will be cheap because it's too expensive for them to register the car and it's also too expensive to bring the car back abroad and sell it so they will give it away for cheap enough :)

Tbh it's going to be difficult to find such a car in Ireland... They are out there though.

Does it really have to be lhd?

You could always browse through some UK sites

Depends what you would classify as "Tiny" money, cheap diesel LHD's do pop up on donedeal from time to time.. and by cheap i mean sub 2k

Some of the banger rallys insist that the car be lhd,

And by tiny money, in looking at a max of €500

Basically a junker, that will last me a week, on a one way trip.

There will be some dirt track driving involved
