constant kidney infections

I have been on anti biotics for the past few couple of weeks and nothing seems to be working has anyone else had this issue?

Antibiotics have never worked for me, or only for a very short period of time and then it would come back. But I never really had kidney infection, mine were all bladder infections. What worked for me was no alcohol, no tea, no coffee, no carbonated drinks - all this aggravates the inflammation. And no cranberry juice either - that should only be had when there is no illness. Drink lots of water, get yourself some cymalon or cystopurin from the pharmacy and take with aspirin. Typically these type infections come back, but the frequency and severity lessens each time, till eventually they're gone.
If there's problem with the bladder lining try supplements like marshmallow root and slippery elm.

Id be also interested in this.
I never got a kidney infection in my life until I was 25. Now they seem to be constant. In the past 5 weeks, I've been on antibiotics for 3 kidney infections. My doctor said if I present with another kidney infection that he will have to refer me to a specialist.

Is there any common reasons for recurring infection?

Thanks for advice yeah I have been on 8 different antI biotics over last 3 months and keep coming back and people have told me to drink.cranberry , surprised wasn't referred to a specialist but must stay away from all of them from.now on. Thanks

Also - would this cause bleeding after sex sometimes? Not looking for medical advice, just if its common

Not sure about that one Lexie, would definitely mention it to the gp when visiting next time.

Had two bladder infections in my life after babies and then in Feb had them non stop for months. Needed surgery and it was cancelled 3 times due to the infections, put on long term antiobiotics to treat the infections. Was referred to a specialist and had scan and of kidneys and bladder and all ok but my body still keeps producting the white cells in my urine. I drink as much water as can tolerate and don't drink alchohol any more but still have the white cells in my urine.
