Nope, But whoever brings it will need their license!

You don't need tax to nct it, But you're running the risk of getting stopped if you drive it there.

As said anyone can bring your car to the NCT to be tested on your behalf, however they just need to have photo id in the form of their driver's license or passport if asked for it.

And if the person has no form of ID with them I think it will still be tested but if it passes the cert won't be given until they come back with some form of acceptable ID.

Yes very important that the person actually presenting has their licence.
I've seen people drop off cars for test with the owners licence with them. That's no good.

Just ask someone in the queue to come up with you :)

Oddly enough, I was in NCT centre this morning. And they gave a sign saying you can't even check the car in for test without ID.

I took my sons car for it's nct a month ago and showed them his licence and I also had mine but they never asked for it. I suppose it depends on the nct center.

No tax needed for the NCT, and if the car is declared off the road it's legal to drive it to and from the test centre.

So just make sure whoever is bringing your car is insured to drive it.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.
