So at the moment I have a thing with Aviva if I buy all my lessons with them they give me 6 months free insurance. However as so many people are learning to drive there is quite a long distance between each lesson which means I won't have all the lessons done in the 6 months insurance to sit my test.
I don't want to take out a years insurance as at the moment I'm planning a year out from college to go abroad, but I need a license, therefore need to take my test.
Does anyone know if you can get insurance for 3 months? Thanks

Unless I'm badly out of touch, the short answer is no. What you can do, however, and it's inefficient is either to pay the year in full and take a refund for what you don't use (there will be penalties involved so it won't be the full 75%) or if you can find a company that will let you pay by direct debit, they normally charge something like 10-20% up front and the remainder over maybe 10 equal payments so when you're ready to travel, you simply ring and cancel the policy and stop making the remaining monthly payments.

Ahh okay thank you. I really just need the insurance to sit my test after that I'm okay. I just need my license before I elave.
