Is White a bad idea as a base colour for a cycling jersey.

    Hi all,
I'm planning to design & create a cycling jersey. I was thinking of using white as the base colour, but I've noticed very few cycling jerseys do this. Mostly blacks & other deep colours. This could be for a number or reasons. Probably the practicality of keeping it clean would be a main one.
    Any thoughts on this?

This is just a preliminary design idea.

No. Go for a darker colour.

Fine at the front but dirty water will tend to go up the back so best to keep the rear centre panel coloured.

White shorts are always a bad idea. Not fun cycling behind on a rainy day.

White doesn't suit anyone who is overweight - it makes them look even bigger.

(That said, it never ceases to amaze me that so many overweight men choose to wear white shirts.)

If you're female, it makes peanut smuggling more obvious.

Unless the fabric is very good quality, it goes transparent in the rain.

Sounds like a great idea so!:)

Not when the peanut smuggling is accompanied by a hairy chest and a hairy back!
