Surely Emotionless should be favourite here? To say I have been taken his starts to date would be an understatement. A big aeroplane.

Have you watched Air Force Blue? He's Concorde. He's won 2 Grade 1s as opposed to Emotionless' Group 2. He's trained by a better trainer and ridden by a better jockey,i'd be surprised/concerned if he's not odds on tomorrow.

I don't think so. Air Force Blue won a Group 1 just as easily on ground slower than ideal. Market has it about right with Air Force Blue about evens.

Will have a small EW on Sanus Per Aquam in that same race. The Dewhurst is a race that's had plenty of big price winners over the years and I think this horses CD form and experience should have him priced slightly under his 25/1.

    Best Bets for Saturday :

    Sevenleft 7/4 1:35 Limerick

Pulled too hard to see out the1m trip last time and this trip should suit much better. He was second in a similar race at Gowran over 7f the time before that and a repeat of that run would give him a great chance. The money has come for him overnight, 3/1 into 7/4.

    Altior 8/11 2:10 Chepstow

Achieved a high level of form in bumpers last season. Finished 3rd behind the unbeaten Barters Hill in a strong race and then ran 6th behind Bellshill on his latest outing in a Grade 1 bumper at the Punchestown festival. He won first time up last season and is taken to repeat the feat at the expense of French recruit Brave Jaq. Could be primed for a good season. One to follow today and in the future.

Air Force Blue 1/1 3:10 Newmarket NAP

He has won three times from 6f to 7f on good and good to yielding ground. Won on his latest outing in the Group 1 Goffs Vincent O'Brien National Stakes at Curragh over 7f last month. He has only one danger in Emotionless but on form he should have the beating of him. Will most likely end up the favourite for next year 2000 guineas with a win here.

    Each Way Bets:

Rock The Kasbah 10/1 4:30 Chepstow

He has won two hurdle races and a bumper from 2m to 2m 5f on good to soft and soft ground. The word is that this horse is highly regarded by its trainer and the owners have been betting big on it e.w since last night. Not a cert but has the potential to win this.

    Renneti 14/1 3:50 Newmarket

Successful at 1m 2f and 1m 7f on good ground. Has been applying his trade over hurdles recently and has won two hurdle races. Trained by Willie Mullins and can be backed on that alone. Mullins has done very well with horses with a similar profile this season. He got ex hurdler Max Dynamite to win a group 2. There has been word that this one is in great form coming into the race and could be very well handicapped.

Black Sam The Man in the 2:55 worth a few quid at 14/1. This one was impressive last time out in Worcester and made up a lot of ground only to get beaten by two decent horses. Interesting that connections are giving it another go over a maiden hurdle when it could easily have went down the handicap route with a nice mark.

    2.20 Fairyhouse - Sizing Silver

It's been off the track for 2 years but Henry has stuck with him so must show something at home you would think. It's a total punt but I'll be having a little piece E/W anyway @ 6/1

Just got Word that Super Bowl in the 4:20 @ Limerick will supposedly pay for our christmas.

Go E/w lads, 12/1 left in places

Bayan to win Cesarewitch. Has came down 6 pounds in 1 flat run since finishing 4th off 90 last september with the winner(who beat him 4lengths getting 4lb) that day gone up over a stone in the handicap since. Cassells rock's another who was in that race and finished ahead of Bayan but placings should be reversed at the weights although he's a good e/w bet too imo.

Clear cut in the 2.35 at Newmarket interests me too, to win a group 3 on your 2nd start after not even winning your maiden is a big ask but i give him an e/w squeak, ran green first time out over 6furlong and got beat a short head looking like a step up in trip would suit. The 1st 2 that day spread well clear from the field and the winner has been subject of some hefty offers which have been declined so far i've heard. Bolger's a master at judging ability which is no harm either. Not one for huge faith but a small e/w bet for me.

Surely with the form Liz Doyle is showing in bumpers BURROWS LANE 5.50 has to be worth a small ew. (has won 3 of her last 4) and jockey has won on the last 2 . Prices vary a good deal but 20/1 available with betfair.

Its got to be AFB for the Dewhurst but will just sit and watch.

I just wasn't convinced with Air Force's head carriage, to be honest. Think that having races over the undulations in Ireland will suit him, true enough, but disagree with the idea that greeness only beat him at Ascot. Loss came in a battle, for me. super clash in prospect, hope both of them race to their best ability and we get a smash up.

    Teak 40-1 4.50 Newmarket
I like that it's only one in field who has run over much longer trips than this,so
it will get the 2M 2F easily. I think quite a few won't as it's a step up in trip for a lot.
Comes here in decent condition 3rd last time out over 2m. Ran 5th two back finishing 1 length off of William Of Orange who will go off here as one of the favourites.
40-1 is good value for a place with 5 places up for grabs.

    1pt ew at 40-1

Very short but Altior 2.10 Chepstow. Was told not to let Cartago run free, 4.25 Newmarket

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,898 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

    Red Pike 33-1 3.25
Great record over 6f on good to soft, conditions will be ideal. It's last 8 races over this trip brought
    3 wins
2x 4th places, only losing by 2 lengths in one, nose the other .
    2x 2nds places
    and one poor run
It's very competitive field but it's the best value to me on price and it's place chance.

    1pt ew at 33-1

Another disappointing season for Godolphin? 1 group 1 winner in the UK, who was purchased this year as a 4yo. Plenty of winners alright but apart from churning out maiden and AW handicap winners its very underwhelming stuff considering the operation has almost unlimited resources.
