I bought a car in Ballybrittas which I had to bring back on the 1st day of having it because the engine. They're fixing the car but I'm not happy with neither the car nor the service. I p1ss3d off dealing with the salesman who can't even get my name right despite not having any unique one. Anyone would know who would be the owner and a manager there and where to get hold of them? Thank you!

Pat Keogh is the name of the manager.

Sorry. No idea how to contact him except for ringing and asking to talk to him.

Was it a Skoda you bought?

Yes, it was! Not a brand new though, used Fabia Mk2 with an awful hydraulic lifter clatter (or could be piston slap too, God forbid! :- ( ) Yes, it's a 1.4. Should have done my homework on the engine! Seeing the others complaining about the same aforementioned hassles on this engine I'm stressed out, cramps in my stomach and scared for life by this car. Got a call today, car repaired, have to check it soon. But my trust is gone altogether.

Stuff goes wrong, it gets fixed. As long as the car is right now, that's all that matters.
Not being rude, but it sounds like buyers regret.

Don't get me wrong Colm! I like the car but can't bear thoughts the engine is not as reliable as it should be.

Did they fix it free under warranty? I don't think they're to blame if that's the case.

Yes, it's been fixed, what I was told but I have to drive the car yet so I don't know whether it's up to scratch or not. Are you trying to say if someone buys a bad one should live with and never speak up? If that's the case why I'm being called Georges or Thomas by the salesman if it's not my name? Bad-bad experience!

One question: if the repair not 100% what are my options? Thanks?

If it's fixed properly and runs well for many years then although annoying I think I wouldn't be too upset.

Obviously if the car is a lemon and they sold it to you knowing it's a bad one I wouldn't be happy.

I'm no expert on the legalities of it though so I can't give you any advice on recourse.

I've bought two cars from Ballybrittas motors and I've no complaints so far. Even got 2 tyres for the price of 1 after they changed them without asking me during a service (they needed changing and apologised for changing them without phoning me first).

I'm a returning customer myself, everything was ok previously and I don't know what's wrong this time.
