Claiming the grant but no bill or letter

I have been trying to claim the grant for my mam as she has paid her water bill. She cannot find anything other than a receipt telling her they have her details. The number on this is an 8 digit number, but she does not know what this is? Even ringing them they tell you all the different things she needs but not where to get them as she has no letter. Any ideas?

    Hi heatherone,

    Thank you for your query.

When applying for the Water Conservation Grant a customer will need their Irish Water Account Number and WPRN. These can be found on the top right hand cover of the bill.

Non-customers can find their Registration Number and WPRN on letters sent to them by Irish Water.

You will also need a TIN. This number is provided by the Department of Social Protection and it is their responsibility to issue these by letter.

    I hope this information helps.

    Kind regards,
    Niall

I think that is part of the problem. She cannot find her letter/bill. Would the Department of Social Protection be able to give me the TIN number if I gave them her PPS Number? Even then would that be enough, Do Irish Water not have a copy of these details in their system?
    Many Thanks,
    Heather.

Due to data protection reasons we would advise that your mother contact us on 1890 448 448 and we can provide her with the WPRN and Account Number. Alternatively, if you are a named contact on this account we will be able to provide you with these details following data protection checks.

As the TIN is issued by the Department of Social Protection you would need to contact them on 1890 100 043. You can also apply for a new TIN on the Water Conservation website located here.

    Kind regards,
    Aaron
