    Hi,

I have been having problems opening/closing car doors and getting the windows down in the past couple of weeks - I took the car to my local garage and couldn't fix the problem. The mechanic said the problem is with the comfort control module as water went in.

Would you know how can I get this fixed? I guess if it needs replacement I can find one online but I would still need the module to be programmed?

If you could advise a mechanic who deals with this type of problem it would be much appreciated :)

I am based in Bray, so anything around Bray/Wicklow/Dublin would be great!

    Thank you.

You would need to get a replacment CCM adn then have it coded to the specification of your current module. A plug in using VCDS or similar to obtain the soft coding parameters of your current unit and then to flash the new unit with the same info will be needed. Otherwise if you can get a second hand unit from the same spec model, it is simply a case of plugging it in and away you go. Is it a B6 chassis passat?

Thank you! It is an Audi A4, I found a similar thread here: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055828619&page=2

I will probably go and check it out with an car electrician as I am not familiar with this and don't want to make it worse. If I have to get a new CCM I can see a lot of them for sale on eBay for less than 100€ ( http://www.ebay.ie/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=comfort+control+module+audi+a4&_sop=15 ) but I am not quite sure if I need to find one for my exact model (A4 2003 1.6) or they are quite generic.
