Have those cars not gone head to head yet?

That's the trio they promised to get together during TG season 22. Looks like they're making it happen on the new show

That looks like the Autodroma International do Algarve in Portimao to me, but the photos are pretty tight so it's just a guess.

    Seems very similar to this:

Personally I'll be glad to have the lads back. Can't stand Chris Evans so if Amazon play this smart and do distribution deals with traditional TV networks I can see a lot of the old fans moving to this new show instead.

The BBC's effort won't last long in a proper head to head I reckon

Is there any word on how this will need to be viewed will amazon be selling it onot other network's? Or will you need an amazon subscription to view it online?

I'd say it will be available by other means not long after it's broadcast. ;)

Yeah, you will need Amazon Prime membership.

You can get a trial and cancel it before the trial ends to not pay for it however I tried this before, cancelled the trial and they still charged 99 euro (or GBP, can't remember 100%).

I had to contact them to get a refund. Cheeky of them to try and take the full year of membership :pac:

No harm in there being both shows but I think with BBC not in control of them they should have more freedom to go a little wild as the budget will be huge with no need for accountability to the tv licence payers or non sensicle complaints.

Hopefully be able re-spark the spirit of noughties (00's), feel last couple years the interuptions and complaints etc took the edge of the shows input, continental races stopped etc

I am looking forward to it, although I may wait till a dvd set is hopefully released.

Top gear magazine had the 3 cars together not long after the last show was shown I think, but it was only for short time and maybe with out knowledge of 1 of the factories.

One of the trucks has a .pt domain name in the window, so you're probably right..

you are the one who asked a dumb question, the answer was in the op thread title. Amazon prime is Amazon's take on netflix. You pay a small annual fee to access it.

Jaysis, that's an unusual move, but gives you an idea what way they are going with things.

Genuinely, i've gone from zero interest to mildly registering interest, just to see how he performs. Well played Old - New Top Gear, well played.

What's wrong with that? I think LeBlanc was good on his appearance on the show previously.

i do think we re gonna get spoilt for choice. we could end up with two good quality car programs here. top gear is looking very interesting. i didnt see le blanc coming at all. maybe i overreacted with the announcement. jaysis, what a job!

Chris harris did those 3 cars months ago, if the Dinsosaur the dwarf and James may do a better job i'll be very surprised.

Problem is not Matt Le Blanc (as said he been pretty good on his appearences) or even Evans to a point. Its the executives sticking there nose in with what they want to see. Said it other post but I see this going all politically/correct don't upset anyone very much like the old Quentin Wilson top Gear.

I personally think dont like Chris Harris, having watched some of the stuff he did for Drive channel, I found him very plain n boring lacking any form of character.
