Alarm not beeping when armed

I have a Honda Jazz and the past couple of days when I lock/unlock the car, the beeping noise has disappeared or gone very faint. The car still seems to lock okay.

Is this a problem that needs to be fixed or a sign of a bigger issue? Anyone know how much it would cost...

    thanks

Do you know what type of alarm is actually in the car?

There's a booklet with the service log saying thanks for choosing a MetaSystem product, so I presume that's the name of the alarm manufacturer.

Speaker in the siren could have gone, or maybe got water inside it. ICE in Ranelagh & Safesounds in Drumcondra are both Meta suppliers if you're in Dublin.

Is it a factory fit alarm ?

if Yes, have you tried using the spare key.
