    Hi All,

Just wondering how much a new connection would be? I've read up to €5000 which I really hope is wrong :( We are building early next year and trying to budget for all of our connection charges so I'd appreciate some guidance - thanks!

    Hi FiOT,

    Thank you for your query.

The price of a new connection can vary depending on the work that needs to be carried out to connect a property to the public main and/or wastewater main.

The process involves submitting all relevant information to the local Water Department who will process this information and then submit their investigation to Irish Water. Irish Water will then process the application and issue a letter detailing the cost of the connection to the customer who is free to accept or decline the letter sent by Irish Water.

If you wish, you can begin the application process or for more information on a new connection, please click here.

    Kind regards,
    Niall
