Aeropress Coffee making milk curdle?

Hi, I really need some help! I recently purchased an Aeropress, and tried to make my first round of coffee, however, when I tried to add milk to it after brewing it curdled. I had bought the milk fresh and heated it up using an Aerocino machine, so tried twice once with normal milk and once with soy. Both times the same thing happened, so then I googled and found that it could have been that the beans were too acidic, so I went and bought 3FE beans and tried again and the same thing happened. Has anyone experienced this and found a solution? I dont want to drink the coffee black as aeropress makes it too strong but Im sure I must be doing something wrong, thoughts welcome! :)

My typical process is to heat around 150ml milk in the microwave (for 1 minute), and then express the Aeropress directly into the coffee cup. Usually get a little skin on top (due to the microwave heating of the milk), but no curdling. Maybe try gradually adding the coffee to the milk, instead of the other way around?

During the Salem witch trials curdling milk was taken as a sign of witchcraft.

Any black cats following you around? Commuting by sweeping instrument perhaps?

Give everything a very good rinse in clear water with no cleaning solutions to see what happens.

Thanks, yes that seemed to do the trick and plus I was using soy milk, which was probably not helping things as it even curdled in herbal tea!!! :( Anyway, at least i seem to have the hang of it now, and adding the coffee to the milk is definitely making a difference! So problem resolved and @jwwb I dont need to worry about being burnt at the stake any more. What a relief!!! :):):)

@Olddog - recently got an Aeropress (a present) and fairly unimpressed.

Also been re-discovering old fashioned black leaf tea.

so I've definitely got to try this idea!! Stand by for reports!

What's to be unimpressed about the Aeropress? I'm constantly impressed by it.
