Problems with running after rest day.

    Hi, I started jogging properly like, 22 days ago, and on sunday just gone, I took my first rest day. On monday (yesterday) I started running again, and I felt awful, and running was much harder. It was the same when I ran again today, felt awful, like when I first started, any advice?

    I tend to feel sluggish for a mile or to at the start of each run, far more so when I come back after a day or more off.

    Just take it very easy at the beginning of each run and regard this is the warm-up. After a while, once the muscles have loosened up, you will invariably feel better.

    So are you saying you have just started running and started by running 20 consecutive days?
    Taking one rest day isn't the problem, you probably need to incorporate more and let your body recover and develop more gradually.
