If you stand on Ballydwan beach looking out to sea, what direction are you facing? Some of us want to shoot a sunrise or sunset there

    Thanks

Due south for most of it, though there is a bit that looks approximately south south east. You will not get a sunrise over the sea, I doubt. You would need to be on Clonea Strand to get a good easterly direction.

If you are prepared to be on cliff tops there are lots of places along the coast where you will get an east or west view.

Just to say that some of the cliffs around Ballydwan are prone to rock falls. Be careful!

Google for The Photographers Ephemeris. It will show you where and when a sun/moon rise/set takes place on any given date at any location. This is a must-have for planning sunrise/sunset shoots.
