I have a Mira Elite II shower. It's about 10 years old. Yesterday it started making a funny noise and the pressure dropped. I'm wondering if I can get a new pump fitted or would I be better off getting a whole new unit.

    Thanks in advance.

A new pump is around 195 Euro supplied and fitted. The average lifespan of an electric shower is 10 years. You can get a new Mira elite st supplied and fitted for around 325 Euro. You should definitely replace the shower. Try get a good price for replacing it with a triton t90z. Triton electric showers give around 25 percent less trouble and apart from being a better shower the parts are nearly half the price if something does go wrong.

Thanks for that. I got one from Woodies online for €209 and €5 delivery. A friend put me on to a plumber who'll fit it for 40. He recommended the Triton over the Mira as well.
