    Hi Folks,

I'm looking for someone in the Munster area(or further afield) that may help me with an icom706mk2g, at the moment it will not power up (turn on).

I put it into the car for 2 weeks and it worked fine, disconnected it to bring it into the house stuck it on the psu and will not power on, brought it back out to the car connected it back up and will not power on.

I have checked the fuses and cables they all seem fine.

    All help greately appreciated

If you can get your hands on a multi meter, check for 13.8 volts at the socket where it plugs in to the radio.

    That's not a CB.

but anyway, as above, 1st check should be the power cable. maybe the inline fuse.
