Hi, i started to get a 10 journey ticket some weeks ago. I was in Dublin bus station and was advised by one of the bus employees. That was on a Monday night. I have been using the 10 journeys ticket for a some weeks now and always renewed on a Monday night.
Today Monday morning i was refused entry because the ticket actually runs from Monday to Sunday.
I'm not trying to cheat the system.

From my understanding i cannot buy a 10 journey ticket from the driver on the morning.

It would make much more sense if instead of to and from dates, they just had an expiry date and time.

Really hacked me off this morning.
Any advice? Is it worth complaining?

Assuming this relates to Bus Eireann, you can buy a 10 Journey ticket whenever you want.

    However, the regulations are:
Weekly 10 Journey Tickets - valid for 10 journeys as specified for a period of seven consecutive days inclusive of date of issue and including Sundays, e.g. a weekly ticket issued on Tuesday is valid up to and including the following Monday.

So if you buy a ticket at any time on a Monday, it is only valid until the following Sunday.

Also why not buy the ticket online at www.buseireann.ie and save 5%?

So i would have to buy it online after midnight, ready for the morning?

I live outside Dublin, in temp accommodation until i buy a house. It has no Internet access and in a mobile deadzone.

Not worth complaining i supposs, just seems impossible for me to make full use of this ticket.

No - my comments above were referring to purchasing tickets on the bus.

Just to be absolutely clear about buying 10 Journey tickets on a Bus Eireann bus, you can buy the ticket from the driver upon boarding the bus in the morning, afternoon, or evening - there is no restriction on when you can buy it from a driver, but they work on the basis of calendar days, so if you start a ticket in the evening, that means that one day of the seven will be used.

    For online purchases:

You can buy the ticket whenever you want online, you just specify what date you want the ticket to start on.

The ticket will be valid for 7 days starting with (and inclusive of) the date that you specify for it to start on.

See below for information on how to buy a ticket on your mobile:
