Apologies if this has been asked before.

Is it possible to run two iPhones on the same account but with different stuff on them.

What I mean is, one dirty scruffy one for dirty scruffy work with just music on and happy shiny one in posh leather case sitting indoors with apps, photos and emails on it?

    Thanks in advance.

    M.

Yes you could but you would need to turn off all syncing with the work one. Why not just create a new Apple ID for the work one?

I think using a second Apple ID is unnecessary and could actually be more hassle, especially if you have any purchased music or apps that you want to use on both phones. Having two phones with different content really isn't a problem. If you are syncing via iTunes it will recognise them as two separate devices and you can set up what you want to sync accordingly. Ditto iCloud.

Potential downside with having two phones on same Apple ID is shared call history in the phone app. If you don't mind that, then keep the same for both. Cost effective.

What would be a good idea if you want them separate is set up family sharing for both your Apple ID's.
