Hi.Considering a 2011 Renault Kangoo with full service history. Took a friends for a spin and it was grand to drive apart from the fact that the suspension seemed soft and rolled in corners. Just wondering if this is unique to small vans or if the kangoo is worse?

I had been driving my brothers old model partner for a couple of weeks and it was solid with little body roll.I mentioned it to him and he said his was softish too, but it chaned when he changed the shocks and went for heavy duty ones.

Could that work in the kangoo too?

    Thanks.

Try driving another Kangoo for comparison.

A car based van might be better

Yeah maybe it was that one van that had the soft suspension.then again maybe it's a trait of small panel vans?

But if it is a trait of small panel vans, could changing the shocks help to improve things?

Well you can't expect a small panel van to be exactly like a car to drive they are going to roll abit more in the corners. But as said above drive another one to see what they are like. Then drive a partner / caddy and pick the one you prefer. Although if budgets tight the caddy will be out. For me the caddy in tdi guise is by far the nicest small van to drive after car derived vans but then your not going to get an equivalent caddy for the same money as a kangoo which I assume is an ex an post one.
