    Hi
As i commented way back there has been muscovite found in lots of estates in letterkenny and donegal as discussed by alan kelly in the dail one area is gleann eadenn glencar where you can see the cracks on all the gable walls this is the pyrite of the north as pyrite is mainly in the south but has the same outcome. see Irish Times article.
There has been reports done on this that can be verified the banks dont seem to be disclosing this as there is still a lot of distressed property to be sold this is despicable behaviour but anyone can contact the banks and view this report AIB or BOI.
They will probably try deny this but the reports are there and there is also a group on facebook in Donegal that are agitating for this to be recognized if you have problems viewing these documents.

I am not saying your house is going to fall down tomorrow as it is a weathering/time problem and may not result in degredation the problem should be recognized so as to try for some resolution in the future insurance being one major problem etc. and if you are buying or selling in the future be very carefull.
