    Current rig g3258 @ 4.3ghz, r9 280, corsair vs series 550w, h81m-c, 2*4gb ram, 1 tb WD blue.

Don't really have a budget in mind at the moment but thinking going xeon v3 as dnot think that motherboard can overclock a 4670k. A 128gb SSD I also plan on getting. I'm also thinking of getting a qnix. Is R9 290 still up to speed for 1440p. Is there something more significantly powerful for around the 500-600 mark is qnix the way to go. Should I just sell my current pc and start from scratch?

Upgrading to an i3 4160 or an i5 4460 will have a huge change. This build is only a CPU away from being a total rig tbh, no need in an overclockable chip.

    290 or 390 are good places for 1440p, or a 970
