    Hi guys
    I am an IT worker of Indian origin and i am settled in ireland, i am looking to have my mother (in India) over here in Ireland for 3 weeks during the christmas holidays this year.
    I would like some advice on the amount of money that i should have on my bank statement for visa processing.

    They want to see that you are in a position to pay for her expenses while she is here, so while you don't need to have tens of thousands, you would want to have more than just a few euro in your account. Guessing maybe five hundred in savings or so? Complete guess - if she is staying with you that takes out accommodation costs.

    They'll also want your mother's bank details going back six months. The standard they apply is that there's enough money to cover any eventuality during the trip without any cost to the Irish state.
